Dealer Stephanie Blythe: Fine Art Figures & Fantasy

Stephanie Blythe is a long-time member of NIADA (National Institute of American Doll Artists). Her fine art porcelain figures are based on fairy tales, fairies, Babes in the Woods, merbabies, and more. Her intricate costumes utilize natural materials, bits of antique fabric, lace and trims. Odalisques in a harem. Porcelain by Sylvia Mobley, china-painted and dressed by Stephanie in antique textiles. She made the jewelry with Swarovski crystals, tiny pearls and metal balls flattened with a hammer. Many of the textiles are over-dyed. The ottoman was made using antique fabric from an old paisley shawl. She also made all the pillows.

Announcing the 2017 Good Sam Show

Come and join us in person at the 42nd Annual Good Sam Showcase of Miniatures. It is scheduled for October 7th and 8th, 2017. Each year, Good Sam brings together more than 100 U.S. and international artisans and dealers, including a number of I.G.M.A. Artisans and Fellows. They offer collectors unique, well-crafted 1-inch, 1/2-inch, and 1/4-inch scale miniatures from around the world. You can easily spend a whole day shopping for exquisitely crafted miniatures from 1:12 scale down to 1:144 scale.

Show Location: Doubletree Hotel San Jose (1/2 Mile from San Jose International Airport), 2050 Gateway Place, San Jose, CA - (408) 453-4000

The show includes a popular White Elephant Sale, Silent Auction, and Drawing for Dealer Donations. Prior to the opening of the show on Sunday, there is a well-attended free Tools & Techniques program. There will be free children's classes, 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. both days.
