Exhibit: The Ruffled Rooster
Connie
Sauve, Stockton, CA exhibited "The Ruffled Rooster" at the 2014 Good
Sam Show. "This was a project that I started in a 2-day 'Kitchen in a
Cupboard' class, held in Morgan Hill. I decided early on to have lots of fun
with the colors, graphics and accessories. I originally thought it would be a
quick project, but it actually took 10 times longer than I thought it
would!"
"The
graphics are from scrapbook papers. I painted all the canisters in the door and
on the countertop. I made the farmhouse sink from Paperclay. I wove the seats
for the chairs, and made the seat cushions from fabrics I printed. I made the
dishes by spray painting them and added the decals I printed on my computer. In
addition, I made the tiled wall by hand cutting and grouting the tiles. I also wove
the baskets from scratch.
