Dealer Miyuki Nagashima, Japan - Fine Porcelain

Miyuki Nagashima from Japan makes fine hand-painted 1:12 scale porcelain dinnerware and decorative pieces. An IGMA Artisan, her techniques, compositions and colorings are based on European antique porcelain (mid-18th century to mid-19th century). "Carmen." Painted wood, about 14-inches high, including rotating base. Part of an "Opera" series, which includes shadow boxes and smaller sculptures

Shadow box: Exact replica of Jean-Simeon Chardin's painting: "Boy, building a house of cards." Painted wood. 8-inches x 8-inches including frame, 3-inches deep. Under non-reflective museum glass.

Shadow box inspired by 17th century Still Lifes. Painted wood, findings and dried plant material. The Turkish carpet is actually Trompe L'Oeil painting. The shadow box is 8-inches x 8-inches and 3.5-inches deep.

"Chinoiserie" shadow box inspired by Chinese porcelain in the Blue Willow style. Painted wood, with old metal findings for flowers, tiny twigs and vines.
