Dealer Stephanie Blythe: Fine Art Figures & Fantasy

Stephanie Blythe is a long-time member of NIADA (National Institute of American Doll Artists). Her fine art porcelain figures are based on fairy tales, fairies, Babes in the Woods, merbabies, and more. Her intricate costumes utilize natural materials, bits of antique fabric, lace and trims. She shares a table with Sylvia Mobley. s.blythe@comcast.net, www.stephanieblythe.com

Odalisques in a harem. Porcelain by Sylvia Mobley, china-painted and dressed by Stephanie in antique textiles. She made the jewelry with Swarovski crystals, tiny pearls and metal balls flattened with a hammer. Many of the textiles are over-dyed. The ottoman was made using antique fabric from an old paisley shawl. She also made all the pillows.
