From Holland: Hannah Roet Miniatures

Rachel Roet of Amsterdam has been coming to Good Sam since 2006 and makes fabulous hand-embroidered paintings. She sells as Hannah Roet (in honor of her mother, a famous Dutch miniaturist).  Rachel also carries a interesting selection of items made by other artisans. A stroll in the garden.  Embroidered on 90 count gauze ( 36 stitches per cm. ) it has 56000 stitches in 46 colors. (There are 11 different greens.) Handmade frame finished with 24 karat gold leaf. 2.55 x 3.55 inch ( 6.5 x9 cm )

At the Show - Accessories from the Netherlands

Rachel Roet of Amsterdam sells as Hannah Roet (in honor of her mother). Hannah was a driving force in miniature land in Holland, helping many starting artisans on their way. A miniaturist for over 30 years, Rachel specializes in embroidery and also carries miniatures from other artisans on her table. Santa in sizes ranging from small to smaller, and smallest. Santa Smoker (the largest) is just under an inch. The smallest Santa is a Christmas tree ornament,  0.4 inch high.

An IGMA Fellow, she specializes in hand-braided, hand-laced, hooked (Russian punch needle), petit point rugs on fine silk gauze, and other needlework items. The rugs shown here are 1:12 scale. Doing business as Cheri's Fantasy Creations, her range includes framed cross-stitch pictures, needlepoint, petit point, and beaded purses.
