Each year, the Show brings together more than 100 U.S. and international artisans and dealers, including a number of I.G.M.A. Artisans and Fellows. They offer collectors unique, well-crafted 1-inch, 1/2-inch, and 1/4-inch scale miniatures from around the world.

Barbara Stanton: Paintings, Turnings & More

Long-time dealer IGMA Fellow Barbara Stanton will be offering a fine selection of new oil paintings at this year's show. In addition to 1:12 scale, she offers 1:48 scale paintings. The subjects of her original paintings include Animals, Florals & Still Lifes, Landscapes, Seascapes, and more. Her husband, IGMA Artisan William Maranville, will be offering a variety of his handcrafted Turnings. At the Show - Exhibit

This week's exhibit, the Victorian Hat Shop, is by Polly Morris of Oakland, California. It was displayed at the 2012 Show. A long-time exhibitor at Good Sam, each vignette Polly creates reflects her innate sense of style and great skill. Photos courtesy of Connie Sauve, Exhibit Chairman.

"When my friend Barbara made hats for her Bespaq hat vanity, I was inspired," Polly says. "I remembered an old milliner's shop close to where I worked. I tried to recreate the feel of those faded hats in the window, trimmed with ancient silk roses and velvet leaves." In 1:12 scale, the Victorian Hat shop is 18-inches wide, by 18-inches deep, and 20-inches tall.

Terry Harville: Friday Workshop, Buckboards & More

Terry Harville handcrafts an amazing array of 1:12 scale buckboards, stagecoaches, sleighs and wagons--including a very special Gypsy Wagon. Jo Meyer: Friday Workshop, Original Paintings, Furniture & Accessories

Josephine "Jo" Meyer creates original oil paintings, miniature copies of the Masters, and whimsical animal paintings. She works in 1-inch, 1/2-inch and 1/4-inch scale. She also hand-paints furniture and accessories. In 2001 she achieved the status of IGMA Artisan. At the Show - Exhibits

"Dress Shop Window" showcases a lovely lavender polka-dot dress. The exhibit is 8-inches wide by 4-inches deep, and 8-inches tall.
"Pretty in Pink" display. "I purchased the little dresser at the CHAMPS Annual Miniature Show in El Cerrito, California, earlier in 2012," Susan Osze tells us. The exhibit is 8-inches wide, by 4-inches deep, and 8-inches tall.
"Teen Retreat" in 1:12 scale. "This box was designed from memories of my teenage years hanging out with my B.F.F."  (Note: B.F.F. is teenage slang for "Best Friend Forever!)
"The car bed in the little boy's room is fashioned after one I saw in IKEA. I included the wood slats and all. It was great fun to make."

Saluting the 4th of July!


On this 4th of July weekend let us salute all those brave men and women who fought for our country.
