At the Show - Exhibit

This week we are sharing several photos of the "Georgian Antique Shop" which was exhibited at the 2012 Good Sam Show. The Georgian Shop was originally a workshop offered by the talented team of Whitledge & Burgess. Their interior design in miniature has unmistakable style and flair.

"I purchased Ray Whitledge's Georgian Shop from a friend of mine," Connie Sauve tells us. "She had taken the class from Ray and decided to sell her nearly completed room box. All I had to do to finish it was add the scene in the background, install the chandelier, and paint the outside. I also added the frame to the front of the room box. I used all the fancy, expensive items from my miniature stash to furnish the interior. The only things I purchased specifically for the scene were the round table and painted sideboard. I made both the proprietor and customer figures."

Connie is the Exhibit Chairman for Good Sam and provided all of the photographs shown here.  She is an IGMA Fellow in Figures (Costuming) and sells as The China Doll. connie@thechinadoll.comhttp://www.thechinadoll.com/

Whitledge & Burgess offer the Georgian Shop as a kit on their website. The third in their series of Georgian inspired shops, "The Shop at Kensington Plaza," is being offered as a workshop this June in Milwaukee. Details can be found on their website.  http://whitledgeburgess.com/studio/
