At the Show - Exhibit

In keeping with the theme of ringing in the new year on a theatrical note, we have picked an exhibit inspired by the French painter Jean-Antoine Watteau (1684-1721).  Watteau is credited with inventing the genre of "fetes galantes" (scenes with an air of theatricality). Photos were taken by Connie Sauve, Exhibit Chairman.

"Watteau in the Grotto" was designed by Greg Anton, San Jose, California and exhibited at the 2012 Good Sam Show. It is 1:12 scale. "This setting is in the style of a French eighteenth century grotto folly," Greg Anton explains in his Exhibit Entry Form. "The painter Antoine Watteau was inspired by settings like this." All plants and flowers were made by Pat Richmond of Twinheart. Pat@twinheart.com, www.twinheart.com
