Doll artist Dana Burton will be offering a one-day class on Monday, October 15, to create "Margo, a Romantic Steampunk Figure." Her business is "helping anyone - anywhere - with any budget" learn how to create miniature 1:12 scale porcelain dolls. When Dana first started dollmaking, only patterns existed. Since she doesn't sew, Dana revolutionized the concept of seeing shapes and creating clothing out of them. Mid 1800's jeweler or clock makers shop pieces. The pedal lathe works the nonfunctional lathe and tons of little parts can be stored in the many drawers. The lathe tools are included in the swing doors of the cabinet. All drawers work. It is completely authentic right down to the olde seeded glass in the cabinet.
