At the Show - Figures and Fantasy
Stephanie Blythe has been creating wonderful fantasy dolls--especially fairies--since 1977. It is her talent for sculpting and painting with attention to detail at such an intricate level that has made her such a success. Costumes utilize natural materials and bits of antique fabric, lace and trim. She has attended Good Sam the last four or five years. Look for Stephanie and her work at Sylvia Mobley's table. Figures are 1:12 scale. s.blythe@comcast.net, www.stephanieblythe.com

This week's exhibit by Jay Kent entitled "Jay's Folly" is a diminutive and fanciful storybook structure. It has a steeply pitched shingle roof, round tower, fairytale chimney, leaded windows. and incongruous yellow shutters with matching door. On the inside, it has wonderful high ceilings, distressed wood beams, rustic wood floor, delightful handmade furniture, and great lighting. There is a lot to look at! Displayed at the 2008 Good Sam Show, the photographs are courtesy of Connie Sauve.
